John Tenniel
Sir John Tenniel was an English illustrator, graphic humorist and political cartoonist prominent in the second half of the 19th century. He was knighted for artistic achievements, the first such honor ever bestowed on an illustrator or cartoonist. Tenniel is primarily remembered for his illustrations done for Alice in Wonderland. He lived from 1820 to 1914.
