Hannah Höch
Hannah Höch was a German Dada artist often credited with inventing the photo collage. Dada was an artistic movement formed after World War I which rejected monarchy, militarism, and conservatism and was often considered "anti-art." Dadaists felt that art should have no boundaries or restrictions and that it can be whimsical and playful. Höch lived from 1889 to 1978.
